METAS is awarded research project funding for leak detection of oil and gas

The Research Council of Norway has awarded METAS with research funding for a project to develop a system for acoustic leak detection of oil and gas from subsea installations. Working with partners UIB (University in Bergen) (Department of Physics and Technology), Simrad Kongsberg Maritime, CMR (Christian Michelsen Research) and Statoil ASA. This project will run over a three year period and will result in the development of a commercially viable product for leak detection from oil gas installations at a subsea level.
